The eyes of the world were all on Stockport, England last Sunday as 30 teams put their racing skills to the test for their inaugural Krazy Races event. That may be a slight exaggeration, but thousands of fans did line the streets to witness pure driving skill as the teams maneuvered their soapbox racers over 350 meters of track filled with chicanes, obstacles, water and more! Sparked by an ambition to bring you the fun, wacky world of Soapbox Racing, Stockport Krazy Races creates a fun, family festival atmosphere, raising thousands for local charities and supporting the local community.
While the stunningly designed car built by Richard, James, Bill, Kelvin & Adrian, with special engineering support from Stein & Ian, #teamnexperia blazed its way into the final round, finishing just off the podium in 7th place ????
In any case, the event was still a huge success as they raised money for Walthew House, a charity in Stockport that provides practical and emotional support to people who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hard of hearing or who have dual sensory loss. We hope our fundraising increases awareness of this amazing charity and all the fantastic work that they do in the local area.
The team’s JustGiving page is still open if you would like to contribute to a worthy cause – https://www.justgiving.com/page/teamnexperiamanchester
