Stefan’s Semiconductor Saga: Junior controller to Nexperia CFO

18 years ago, Stefan Tilger was fresh out of school with a degree in Industrial Engineering after three years of a work-study program with Philips. We’re pretty sure he had no idea the epic journey he was starting when he joined the newly formed NXP as a Junior Controller in 2006. He spent the following years learning the ropes and mastering operational efficiency, climbing the ladder to become Senior Director & Business Line Controller in 2010.

A monumental shift occurred in 2017 when NXP’s Standard Products Division spun off, creating Nexperia. Joining the other 11,000 inaugural members of #TeamNexperia, he took on the challenge of becoming the VP of Global Business Controlling.

Stefan took over as our Chief Financial Officer in 2021 and is one of the many reasons we’re able to ship over 100 billion components annually, powering innovation everywhere. His story is another testament to investing in people. Through growth opportunities, mentorship, and development, we want to empower #teamnexperia to reach their full potential and contribute to our mission to carve out a sustainable future for electronics.
